Cancellation & Refunds — SunCasa Barcelona Edition
Last updated: December 22, 2025
This page is a plain-English summary of our cancellation rules. It’s consistent with the Terms & Conditions; if anything conflicts, the Terms control.
Quick Summary
- Before payment: If you haven’t paid yet, you can withdraw your application at any time by emailing us.
- After payment: Once your retreat payment is received, cancellations are refundable only in exceptional circumstances (see below).
- If SunCasa cancels: If we cancel for reasons other than your breach, we refund amounts paid to SunCasa. (We can’t cover third-party costs like flights, visas, or personal spending.)
Refund Rules
- Before payment: No charge — just email us to withdraw.
- After payment: Payments are generally non-refundable. Refunds may be granted only in exceptional circumstances, at SunCasa’s discretion, and may require supporting documentation.
Exceptional Circumstances (examples)
Examples may include:
- Documented serious illness or injury preventing travel
- Visa refusal (with evidence of application and refusal)
- Bereavement of an immediate family member
- Other comparable events outside your reasonable control
These are examples, not a guarantee. Each case is reviewed individually.
Late Arrival / Early Departure
If you arrive late or leave early, unused nights or activities aren’t refundable or creditable.
Travel Disruptions
Flights, visas, illness, and other travel issues are your responsibility. Consider travel insurance.
If SunCasa Cancels
If we cancel for reasons other than your breach, you’ll receive a refund of amounts paid to SunCasa. We’re not responsible for outside costs (flights, visas, etc.). If a force majeure event affects the retreat, we’ll work in good faith on reasonable remedies (date change, credits, or partial refunds of recoverable costs).
How to Request a Refund
- Email contact@suncasa.space with the subject line “Refund Request — Barcelona Edition”.
- Include your full name and the email you used for payment (or your Stripe receipt/invoice reference).
- Briefly explain the situation and attach any supporting documentation if you’re requesting an exception.
